Instructions

1) There are many types of hydraulic brakes on the market. This kit is a general bleeder kit that should work with the most popular Shimano® and Avid® disc brakes. However you may have to get extra fittings/parts depending on your brakes.

2) We do not include brake blocks/spacers as every brake required different thickness brake blocks. You may need to find the proper thickness brake block to bleed your brakes properly.

3) We do not instruct you how to bleed your brakes – we only provide a bleeder parts kit. Please refer to your bike manufactures website for proper instructions on how to bleed your brakes.

4) The hoses and fitting are not assembled and you may have to cut hose to correct length.

5) The hose clamp is to stop fluid from leaking. And note - our hose clamps are beefier than the Avid® clamps.

6) Replacement Syringes available (BLEEDKIT-1P).

Note:

Sorry for the confusing text on the first batch of Filzer Bleeder Kit packaging.

On the packaging we said: ‘The hose clamp is to stop fluid from leaking. It will not provide a perfect vacuum seal for bleeding Avid® brakes.’

We initially were going to use smaller hose clamps in our bleeder kits – but we ended up finding larger beefier clamps - and they work great for degassing the brake fluid.

Note - ALL units manufactured have the larger clamps (and no bleeder kits were sent out with the smaller clamps).

We are confident that the clamps will work properly - and they will work as well as or better than other kits on the market. So please ignore this comment.

Also note: We will be removing the warning from the packaging and the web copy as we do not feel it is necessary or useful anymore. Also, note that we have sold several shipments of the bleeder kit and we have had zero issues to date.

Sorry for the confusion.

Team Filzer.
